Webjet signals market recovery with buoyant half

first_imgWebjet last week indicated that it was seeing a strong recovery in the travel sector, reporting to the stock exchange that its June to December bookings shot up in value by some 37%.For the first financial half of the 2009/2010 year, Webjet recorded total transaction values of $248 million, a 37% increase on the $182 million achieved in the same June to December period of 2008.“Webjet has totally defied the broadly reported industry downturn over the last 12 months,” said David Clarke, Webjet Managing Director.“Current demand levels are strong and we see tentative signs of demand recovery.”Webjet also announced that it would be launching a brand new marketing campaign for 2010 set to launch this week. <a href=”https://sp2.img.hsyaolu.com.cn/wp-shlf1314/2031/IMG13231.jpg” alt=”last_img” /> read more
